I love Alexa Chung, I find her intriguing and definitely far from being classed as fake. I have never really been interested in reading about the model industry however I think Alexa has made a book worth a look. She has now become more of a public figure and has found herself a unique market rather than being just a ‘model’.
I saw her book “It” advertised on Tumblr and I thought I must read this. So the next day, I ordered it.
I found her book inspiring and I couldn’t put it down. She speaks about her life from being little and growing up with the Spice Girls as fashion inspiration to life now. Alexa speaks a lot about where her unique fashion sense comes from and all the way through she name drops many celebrities who she thinks looks great.
Inside the book are many photographs, quotes, doodles and childhood memories. She takes many selfies and talks about her thoughts on haircuts and make up whilst giving a brief sense of advice.
There are so many bad reviews about this book, and I think from a young-persons perspective that it really isn’t that bad. Is it worth the £16.99/$29.99 price tag? Probably not. But if you like fashion, like models and like reading about them then go to your local library to read this light easy read.
I do recommend it.
